Reasons 1

It is considered that the proposed floodlighting, by reason of its scale and luminance levels in very close proximity to the dwelling at No. 175 Gynsill Close, would result in the unacceptable spillage of light and increase in noise and disturbance due to the additional and excessive use of the tennis courts throughout the year. The proposal would therefore be to the detriment of residential amenity of the occupiers of 175 Gynsill Close and contrary to policy CS2 of the Core strategy (2015) and saved policy EV/1 of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan (2004) and Paragraph 127 of the NPPF which all seek to protect and achieve high standards of amenity for existing residents.
