It is the opinion of the Local Planning Authority that, by reason of the size and height of the extension, the orientation of the site and its siting in close proximity to a neighbouring property, it would be an intrusive and over-dominant feature, to the detriment of the residential amenities of the occupiers of this property . For this reason the proposal would be contrary to the intentions of Policy CS2 of the Charnwood Local Plan Core Strategy (2015) . This requires new development to protect the amenity of people who live nearby.
