In the opinion of the Local planning Authority the provision of 30% affordable housing on this site which lies within the identifed Shepshed Direction of Growth is reasonable and necessary based on the requirements of National Planning Policy Guidance and the findings of evidence studies prepared to inform the Charnwood Local Plan Core Strategy Policy CS3. The proposal to reduce the level of affordable housing would therefore be contrary to central government policy as set out in the National Planning Policy Guidance and the findings of the evidence studies prepared to inform the Charnwood Local Plan Core Strategy policy CS3.
