As a result of its siting, size, and illumination, the signage introduces a visually jarring structure which fails to appear coherent with the character of the industrial unit and wider industrial estate. It is considered that the application fails to comply with Policy CS2 of the Charnwood Local Plan 2011-2028 Core Strategy, "saved" Policy EV/1 of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan (2004) and emerging Policy DS5 of the Draft Charnwood Local Plan 2021-2037.
