By virtue of the uncharacteristic massing and visual prominence of the proposed extension within the street scene, and the cumulative impact of multiple extensions upon the original dwellinghouse. The development would result in an unsympathetic appearance to the character of the original dwellinghouse and the street scene. The development is contrary to Policies EV1 and H17 of the Charnwood Local Plan (2004), and the Design SPD (2020).
