The proposed A.T.M, if permitted, could by its nature, result in vehicle parking taking place in the public highway in the immediate vicinity of the site, in proximity to a road junction and a bus stop which could lead to additional dangers to road users and would not be in the interests of highway safety. Therefore, it is the opinion of the local planning authority that the development would be contrary to the provisions of saved Policy TR/6 of the adopted Borough of Charnwood Local Plan which seeks to maintain the safe use of the road system.
