It is the opinion of the local planning authority that the proposed shop front, by reason of its design, detailing and materials, would appear as an unduly incongruous feature on the building itself, the adjoining building and in the street scene generally. It is, therefore, contrary to the intentions of saved Policies CA/12 and EV/1 of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan and the adopted Supplementary Planning Document, Leading in Design: Shopfronts & Signs (2006).
