The local planning authority is of the opinion that the proposed two storey extension, by reason of the close proximity of the first floor window to the rear lounge window of No 2 Oxford Street, would result in loss of privacy and would be detrimental to their residential amenity. In this respect the development is contrary to Policy H/17 and Policy EV/1 of the adopted Borough of Charnwood Local Plan and to the Council's Supplementary Planning Guidance on House Extensions and the Supplementary Planning Document, Leading in Design.
