The local planning authority considers that, because of its size, design and means of illumination, the sign would be unduly prominent and incongruous in relation to the building to which it would be attached and, therefore, within the street scene, contrary to the intentions of Policy EV/11 of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan, which seeks to ensure that local visual amenities are safeguarded.
