In the absence of any supporting technical information, the local planning authority is not satisfied that the applicant has demonstrated why a mast of the height proposed, which would have a greater visual impact than that previously permitted, would be necessary. The proposal would therefore be contrary to the intention of policy EV/37(i) of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan

The applicant has failed to confirm that the proposal would fall within the guidelines of the ICNIRP with regard to exposure to RF radiation. In the absence of such a declaration the local planning authority cannot be certain that there would not be any health risk from emissions from the installation. The proposal is therefore contrary to policy EV/37 of the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan.
