It is the opinion of the local planning authority that, by reason of the bland design of the dwelling, the proposed development would be out of character with this part of the Conservation Area and detrimental to the appearance of the street scene . It would, therefore, fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the Wymeswold Conservation Area and is thereby contrary to Policies EV/1, EV/10 and H/16 of the adopted Charnwood Borough Council Local Plan (2004), the Supplementary Planning Document 'Leading in Design' (Cabinet Approved July 2005) and the adopted Village Design Statement for Wymeswold.
