It is considered that, due to the location, scale and mass of the proposed extension, it would have a detrimental effect on the amenities of the neighbouring house at No.4 Preston Close by reason an overshadowing and overbearing impact on the sole dining room window located on the side elevation of that property, giving rise, in addition, to loss of reasonable levels of sunlight. The development is thereby contrary to Policy H/15 of the Deposit Draft Borough of Charnwood Local Plan and to the Council's adopted Supplementary Planning Guidance in respect of 'House Extensions'.
