It is considered that the proposed siting of the extension coupled with the likely intensification in the numbers of persons using the premises would significantly reduce the existing parking capacity of the site. As a result, the loss of parking would lead to vehicles parking within the access drive and within the public highway to the detriment of highway safety, contrary to Policy TR/8 of the Deposit Draft Borough of Charnwood Local Plan.
