The site is elevated and very prominent adjacent to a busy roundabout junction. The local planning authority is of the opinion that the proposed signs, due to their size, elevated siting and illumination and in addition to existing signage on this corner, would result in unwarranted and undesirable advertisement clutter to the detriment of amenity and contrary to Policy EV/12 of the Deposit Draft Borough of Charnwood Local Plan.
